These quick connects have a wide bore making cleaning easier than other barbs or cam locks for your kettle. These fittings can easily be attached using on hand even with heavy brewing gloves.

The over sized barb (5/8") is specially designed for our 1/2" Silicone tubing. The larger size does 2 things:

1. It stretches the tubing over the barb creating a tight fit requiring no hose clamps

2. The inside diameter of this barb is 1/2" compared to a standard 1/2" barb which have a smaller 3/8" size. This creates a full port design and will not restrict flow going through the barb.
