Remove chlorine and organic flavor with this 10" carbon block filter. Also filters out sediment to 10 micron. We open the housing after use and store filter dry to eliminate algae from growing inside the housing. Designed to work with our filter housing or any other standard, 10" housing. Good for 750 gallons. We were told that chloramines can be removed by carbon filtration if the water has a long contact time with the carbon. It is recommended to use at a fill rate of less than 1 gallon per minute in order to remove chloramines
